Mindfulness Exercises to reduce stress!
What does it mean to be mindful? It means slowing down to really notice what you’re doing. Being mindful is the opposite of rushing or multitasking. When you’re mindful, you’re taking your time. You’re focusing in a relaxed, easy way. It can also be described as a mental state that is achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
Being mindful can be valuable in our everyday life by helping us to relieve anxieties that come up from feeling stressed or overthinking about a situation that we are looking to find answers to. Creating a calm state of mind allows us to process and be more present rather than constantly thinking about what our next step is or being triggered by a situation that unexpectedly comes up.
